This Site is Dedicated to those servicemen and servicewomen of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
Covers the European discovery and settlement of the Hunter Valley and Hunter Valley wine families.
The museum is open most days. a single-storey sandstone courthouse which was designed by Mortimer Lewis and erected in 1866 to replace a slab lock-up which apparently leaked prisoners like a sieve

The Museum houses thousands of samples of tools, equipment and household items all pre-dating 1920 and collection bears testimony to the spirit of determination and foresight with which the early settlers opened up this valley.
The Society provides guided tours of the Museum and the town of Scone on request. Visitors, researchers and students can gain access to the Society’s research centre on Wednesdays from 10am-2.30pm.
